shadow series

Lately ive been feeling like i really have to get some shit done because i havent been taking any photos or doing anything really besides going to school and working on NIN3 with devon.  ive had the concept for this in my head for a short while,  and i really felt like i needed to get it done so i ran to Michael's to get supplies then invited lee over for some experimental shots. I want to use irregular models on this one!
model: lee brage
In Jungian psychology, the shadow is a part of the unconscious mind consisting of repressed weaknesses, shortcomings, and instincts. It is one of the three most recognizable archetypes, the others being the anima, animus, and the persona. "Everyone carries a shadow," Jung wrote, "and the less it is embodied in the individual's conscious life, the blacker and denser it is." It may be (in part) one's link to more primitive animal instincts, which are superseded during early childhood by the conscious mind.

Jung also believe d that "in spite of its function as a reservoir for human darkness- or perhaps because of this- the shadow is the seat of creativity."; so that for some, it maybe, 'the dark side of his being, his sinister shadow... represents the true spirit of life'

the shadows were created by shapes i cut out and taped onto sticks, and a cut out swirlies sheet that i taped to the sticks too. before i get the other models i need to decide on a few more things but i hope you guys like these :)
